NEWS: Australia's Dad and Partner Pay
A message from the Australian Government
Dads and Bonding
Dads and partners play an important role in the vital early months of their child's life. To help dads and partners take time off from work, Dad and Partner Pay (DaPP) will be available to eligible working dads or partners who care for a child born or adopted from 1 January 2013.
Lessons from JB
On 2 November 2009 my best mate and dad JB sadly passed away. This article is dedicated to his memory
Little Big Girl
Kid A is now eight. WTF, did I just write that? My little girl, my sweet little girl is now eight years old. The same little girl that used to adore Dora the Explorer but now despises her. The girl who used to go to sleep listening to Paul Kelly, Hunters & Collectors & Stevie Wonder because she didn't know LMFAO existed. The same girl that would make me hold her hand from school drop off until the first bell rang in the morning. Not now, these days I'm lucky if she lets me kiss her goodbye, out the car window, in front of the school gate. So yes, she's only eight but she's growing up so quickly.
Life As An Eight Year Old
My little girl isn't so little any more, turning eight yesterday. So what's it like being an eight year old in today's world? I'm going to hazard a guess, but really I'm hoping my 'little' girl will join TackleNappy and write her own article on the subject (watch this space).
Those dreaded words are not due for another 11 years.
One of Wife A’s greatest fears is that horrible day when Kid X and Kid Y go through their rebellion years and tell her that they hate her.
