Here's something I wrote in December 2009. Some interesting predictions here, some of which were pretty damn close. Hope you like it.

So it's like this, I love the Collingwood Football Club whether we're riding the ladder from the top, or propping up 15, 16 or 17 other AFL teams. I've sat back and waved to a couple of delistings, watched the trade period and draft with interest, I've witnessed a new coaching structure with Bucks joining the club with the promise of taking over as senior coach in a couple of years, and read the odd article or two about the Pies getting their Jolly's and Ball's. I think I've absorbed enough now to put my observations and thoughts into words.
I'm a tragic Collingwood supporter. I once stood next to Lee Walker at the urinal in Melbourne's 'The Imperial' pub and I actually thought having Ball, Dick, Cox, Goldsack, Wood and Johnson at the club at the same time was hilarious. I played 93 games off the bench for Bundoora Junior Footy Club – the club famous for producing AFL players Shane Clayton, Paul Rizonico, Cameron Doyle and Jason Croall.
Dad, I want to barrack for the Bombers
Saturday, 03 April 2010 11:59 Published in Bucky's Trophy CabinetAnd that one sentenced rocked my world. I was certain Kid A would be black + white for life. She knows the lyrics to the Collingwood theme song (minus the cakewalk part) so very well and for good reason, I used to sing it to her every night as she drifted off to sleep. Q thought I was singing nursery rhymes, and indeed I did but only when I knew she was close by. For Kid A to say “Dad you should let me choose my own football team. I want to barrack for the Bombers” was a bit of a shock.
