To be tacklenappy’s Dad of the Year you don’t need to be a celebrity, have won a gold medal at the Olympics or found some missing genome or taken any peptides (especially not BH90210). You only have to be an average dad that has impressed his wife or partner with his “daddying” skills throughout the year.

TackleNappy Dad Of The Year Award 2012
Monday, 27 August 2012 14:17 Published in Dad Of The Year Award Written by Chubba & Bucky Be the first to comment! The TackleNappy Dad of the Year Award is something we have been discussing for some time. We really wanted to do this right because it's a topic that we're both passionate about. We understand we're a small voice in a sea of thousands. We know the award we've created won't make the 6 o'clock news or A Current Affair, and we know the winner isn't going to make the front of Time Magazine or drink champagne out of a diamond encrusted trophy. Really, this isn't a competition. What we're trying to do is raise awareness of the important role dads play in this whole parenting experience. We want to recognise one awesome Aussie dad in particular, but at the same time acknowledge all dads for their efforts. If we manage to get people to stop and think about the contribution their husband, son, son-in-law or their own father has made, then we will consider the TackleNappy Dad of the Year award a success.
