(0 votes) Dad of the Year!

To be tacklenappy’s Dad of the Year you don’t need to be a celebrity, have won a gold medal at the Olympics or found some missing genome.  You only have to be an average dad that has impressed his wife or partner with his “daddying” skills throughout the year.

Last year we got so many great entries and of course our inaugural winner the inspiring Lee Jamieson.

How do you enter: well we want you (mums) to nominate dads. We want you to write to us and explain why the dad your nominating  is worthy of Dad of the Year. It only needs to be a paragraph or two and we want to know all the things that dad’s do, from changing nappies to cooking dinner to just hanging out with the kids.

We plan to share the nominations on our website to help promote positive “daddying” and inspire new dads everywhere to get involved and hands on.

What do you win: A prize pack and more prestigious than this the title Dad of the Year and a Q & A interview with reporter Bucky. Oh and if you are in Melbourne you will receive a man hug from Chubba.

Send your entries to:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by midnight Sunday 4th August.

Winner announced father’s day Monday 2nd September.

We are looking for a sponsor for this competition if your organisation is interested please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
