The agony and the ecstasy of a family holiday

Holidays used to be a lot more relaxing before fatherhood changed everything, Chubba explains that's not necessarily a bad thing.Travelling with your kids is one of the great joys of parenting. Whether it’s being woken at 6.30am every day or experiencing the 72nd tantrum in three days over who holds the bucket at the berry farm, it certainly is a different experience every time you go away.
It was with great excitement and a slight touch of trepidation, that Wife A and I dropped Kid X (formerly known as Kid C) at Aunty N’s and headed into the hospital to have a look at our latest creation, Baby Y.
Today was my first day back at work after 2 weeks of being a full time dad. On one hand it’s a nice change not to be singing nursery rhymes about ducks that like rain and also not having to watch some bloke with a high pitched voice have a discussion with an owl that sounds remarkably like dame Edna about the really annoying gigglemobile.
"Sore boobs, sore boobs, sore boobs!" and "Sorry, I'm just so tired at the moment" are statements I'm hearing a hell of a lot. Work has been crazy for me too at the moment so I've been at home less, which is less than ideal.
