Chubba's Pool Room (108)

Welcome to Chubba's Pool Room, where you will not only find a a dodgy dart board, but many great insights on being a dad.  Just don't hit the back of the billiard queue on the wall will ya, his missus hates that.

On Tuesday I took a day off to take Kid X to the Playschool concert at the Ivanhoe Town Hall. It lead to one of those rare parenting moments that help you understand why you put up with all the crying, screaming, being told to go to work and being ignored when you come home after a stressful day at work.

Let’s get something straight from the beginning of this article, Kid X barracks for Melbourne Footy Club. Yep, that’s right- Melbourne, the dees, the old red and blue. She does not barrack for Buddy, the tigers or the pies.

Holidays used to be a lot more relaxing before fatherhood changed everything, Chubba explains that's not necessarily a bad thing.Travelling with your kids is one of the great joys of parenting. Whether it’s being woken at 6.30am every day or experiencing the 72nd tantrum in three days over who holds the bucket at the berry farm, it certainly is a different experience every time you go away.

Wife A is now 17 weeks pregnant and I thought it was about time to give an update on how it is going. Luckily for her, and in turn me, most of Wife A's morning sickness has subsided and apart from the grumpiness, sore boobs and living with Mr Messy and Little Miss Spill-a-lot, she is doing very well. We are both eagerly awaiting the next stage of pregnancy- indigestion and carpal tunnel.
